Mentorship For Athletes

About Our Mentorship Program

Our program is an 8-week mentorship program where your athlete meets with an assigned mentor once a week—designed to help them build confidence, regulate emotions, and perform consistently under pressure. Because real growth doesn’t come from being told what to do—it comes from having a mentor who helps your athlete understand themselves, navigate challenges, and develop skills they can rely on in real moments.

Built around three core pillars—Mindset, Habits, and Character—this mentorship provides a clear, practical system to help athletes reset during games, handle adversity, and take ownership of their performance.
Parents aren’t left guessing—you’ll gain a clear framework to support your athlete between sessions, while we track progress every step of the way.

How It Works

This is a structured, individualized mentorship program—not a course your athlete watches and forgets.
Because the truth is, development doesn’t come from information alone.
It comes from consistent guidance, real conversations, and having someone in your child’s corner who understands how they think, feel, and perform.
Your athlete will meet once per week for a 1-hour Zoom session with a Thinklete mentor, alongside you as the parent. These sessions are focused, practical, and built around your athlete’s real challenges—so we can mentor them in real time with real feedback and support.
Each week, we guide them through the systems they need to manage emotions, handle pressure, and build confidence—while helping them understand why they react the way they do. This is where true growth happens.

You will meet once a week over Zoom for 1 hour and walk away with an action plan for that week.
You’ll also learn exactly how to support them between sessions, so mentorship doesn’t stop on the call—it becomes part of your daily environment.
This is a collaborative process. Your athlete isn’t being forced into change—we’re mentoring them to build self-awareness, take ownership, and develop skills they can carry with them for life.
**After the initial 8 weeks, you have the option to continue with ongoing mentorship for up to 12 months (for an added charge). This includes a monthly check-in call to track progress, adjust strategies, and support your athlete as they grow and face new challenges.
The goal isn’t quick motivation.
It’s consistent mentorship, long-term development, and lasting confidence.

Thinklete Testimonials

Here are some actual testimonials from some of our Thinklete families.

  • “I don’t always connect with ADHD parenting content because of how my son’s ADHD shows up. But as soon as I found Thinklete, I thought, “That’s my kid!” Hearing these lessons from athletes who understood youth sports, not just mom and dad, made all the difference.”
    Shannon & Tyson W.
  • “The progress we were able to make in just the first 2 sessions was enough for me. Building the confidence, talking through it with Derek, and knowing that there was progress early on not only supported my kid, but me as well.”
